Fields of Learning and Teaching:
Planting and Harvesting Dreams
GET TO KNOW ME Hi! I’m Jeanette Reyes Loredo. Master's Student of Curriculum and Instruction at University of Texas at San Antonio. I am a strawberry farmer in my hometown of Poteet, TX. I am also an Educator at Poteet ISD in Poteet, Texas, also known as the Strawberry Capital of Texas, the birthplace of George Strait.
Viewing this picture, I see my parents, my husband, our seven out of eight children, and our eight grandchildren and realize this picture represents four strong growing generations. We strive to keep family first and motivate each other to learn and grow, much like I see the way I tend to the berries in the Poteet soil. These are the people that love and encourage me to keep moving forward with accomplishing my dreams. I couldn't have done this without them and the rest of my family, friends, colleagues, UTSA professors, and my faith. |
Soon I will be graduating from The University of Texas at San Antonio with
Master of Arts Degree in Curriculum and Instruction!!! As an educator, striving to empower educators and learners in their educational journey to grow beyond the classroom, through a critical lens for humanity, is my mission.
Creating, thriving, and maintaining supportive and enriching learning environments, and including my desire for all students to excel in the field of education, is the challenge I wholeheartedly aspire to fulfill. |
My Educational Philosophy
Seeing people succeed in all aspects of education is my hope and happiness! My desire is to help increase the skills and learning experience for all students who have the drive to be challenged in learning and teaching. The educational growth and experience I received from the Department of Interdisciplinary Learning and Teaching at UTSA, and its educators, have equipped me for the responsibility I feel I owe to humanity.
